About Mineshaft Finder

Abandoned Mineshafts are sprawling underground tunnel systems left over from in-game mining operations. Wooden support beams, rail tracks, intersecting corridors, and minecart chests fill them. Cave Spider spawners hidden in cobwebs make them genuinely dangerous, but the chest loot — enchanted books, diamonds, rails, and name tags — is worth the risk. Badlands variants use dark oak instead of regular oak and generate at much higher elevations than standard mineshafts. Both Java and Bedrock Edition include them. The Mineshaft Finder maps every mineshaft in your world from your seed.

How to Find Mineshaft In Minecraft

Standard Mineshafts generate between Y=0 and Y=32 underground, but Badlands variants can appear all the way up to surface level. Look for wooden planks, fence posts, rails, and cobwebs while cave exploring. Mineshafts frequently intersect with caves, ravines, and other structures. Enter your seed into the Mineshaft Finder to skip random cave diving entirely.
