Amethyst Finder in Minecraft
About Amethyst
Amethyst geodes are rare, spherical structures in Minecraft containing amethyst crystals that grow over time. Each geode features layers of smooth basalt, calcite, and inner amethyst blocks. Budding amethyst blocks inside the geode produce crystal clusters used for crafting and decoration, adding both aesthetic and functional value to your builds.
How to Find Amethyst In Minecraft
Amethyst geodes generate between Y-levels 70 and -64 across all Overworld biomes. The geode consists of smooth basalt and calcite outer layers with amethyst blocks inside. Crystal clusters grow on budding amethyst blocks through four stages: small, medium, large, and cluster. Only fully grown clusters drop 4 amethyst shards. Silk Touch does not harvest clusters.
