About Old Growth Taiga Finder

Old Growth Pine Taiga and Old Growth Spruce Taiga — both previously bundled under the name Mega Taiga — are cold forest biomes featuring massive spruce trees with 2x2 block trunks reaching up to 40 blocks tall. Podzol, coarse dirt, and moss blocks layer the ground, with natural mossy cobblestone boulders scattered throughout. Sweet berries grow in abundance and wolves spawn more frequently than in any other biome. Both Java and Bedrock include the biome. The Old Growth Taiga Finder pulls exact biome coordinates from your seed.

How to Find Old Growth Taiga In Minecraft

Old Growth Taiga biomes generate in cold regions, often adjacent to regular Taiga biomes. The massive 2x2 spruce trees, podzol ground cover, and mossy cobblestone boulders are reliable identifiers. Ferns, brown mushrooms, and sweet berry bushes cover the floor. Enter your seed into the Old Growth Taiga Finder to locate the nearest one without random cold-region exploration.
