How the Ore Finder Works
Enter your world seed, X and Z coordinates, and select your Minecraft version. Diamond Finder uses the same world generation logic as Minecraft to return the nearest ore locations with precise coordinates.
Not sure where to find your seed? Type /seed in chat on Java Edition, or go to Settings → World on Bedrock Edition. For your coordinates, press F3 on Java or enable Show Coordinates on Bedrock.
Ore Y-Levels in Minecraft 1.21
Ore distribution changed significantly with the 1.18 Caves & Cliffs update. Diamonds peak at Y-58, iron at Y=16, ancient debris at Y=15 in the Nether, and emeralds generate most frequently above Y=100 in mountain biomes. Always select the version your world was originally created in for accurate results.
Finding Diamonds in Minecraft
Diamonds generate between Y-64 and Y-16, peaking at Y-58. They appear in veins of 1-10 blocks and are commonly found near lava pools at deeper levels. Strip mining at Y-58 or exploring deep cave systems are the two most reliable methods without a seed-based finder.
Use our diamond finder to get exact coordinates in your world.
Finding Ancient Debris in the Nether
Ancient debris is the rarest ore in Minecraft, found only in the Nether between Y=8 and Y=119, peaking at Y=15. It spawns in veins of 1-3 blocks and requires a diamond pickaxe. Smelting it gives you Netherite Scraps, which combine with gold ingots to make Netherite Ingots for upgrading diamond gear.
Use our ancient debris finder to skip the dangerous search.
Finding Emeralds in Minecraft
Emeralds only spawn as single blocks in mountain biomes, never in veins like other ores. They appear most frequently above Y=100, making mountain biomes the only reliable place to mine them naturally.
Use our emerald finder to locate emeralds in your mountain biomes.
